Hi all. I am new here and joined as I just dont know what else to do. My husband is two treatments into a four treatment course of immunotherapy and hasnt moved from the bed or sofa for 8 weeks now...and when I say hasnt moved, I mean quite literally hasnt even set foot into the garden, to the bin, to any rooms other than bathroom, bedroom and onto the sofa. Initially he was sickly and a bit sore with his treatment but now is saying he doesnt feel sick any more and the pain relief is working fine, but I cant physically get him to move and it genuinely appears like his lack of effort to do anything is making his condition worse. He hasnt brushed his teeth for at least two weeks, Im forcing him to shower once a week and that is under duress. He is taking anti depressants but tells me he isnt of low mood (for context he has always been a very grumpy and quite lazy person, so him sitting around doing nothing isnt unusual) but this is a whole other level - what I dont understand is, if he is now saying he doesnt feel anything other than a bit fatigued then why isnt he moving at all. Ive shown him all the research to indicate the benefits of movement, walking, eating and drinking, taking part in activities etc but hes just lying there to rot. I cant imagine he has any muscle mass left now and says he is getting short of breath walking up to bed, which appears to be caused by the fact that he just isnt moving at all. Is this normal? Should I just be leaving him to lie there and basically rot away? Nothing I say or try to help with makes any difference and its making our child ill with worry too and I now have her off school as she has started having panic attacks, even that isnt encouraging him to get up and move around. I would greatly appreciate anything that anyone can offer please. (posted on a couple of the different forums as Im not too sure how this page works yet!)
