You know everyone in this group is caring for someone that is special to them but do you know how amazing you are?
I think when a loved one becomes so poorly its second nature to just jump in and help, I don't think at the beginning you realise just how hard it can get/does get. It can drain you physically and mentally, your own emotions get put on hold too, infact your own life can be put on hold.
I think I have read every single post in this group and it's full of love to start with but also frustration, guilt, anger etc but it's all because the people we are caring for are our special people and we would do anything to wish they wasn't dealing with cancer.
What I am really trying to say is keep smiling but also be kind to yourself, you are truly doing the best job/the hardest job even when it all feels like such a heavy load we just plod on.
Xx
Hi Squirrel87 welcome to the Forum. Thank you so much for such a positive message and everything you say is so true for all Carers, its not easy but its something people just get on and do with little or no thanks. Im assuming that you are a Carer as well and that means that you must be pretty amazing as well. Sending some hugs..
