Morning I am new here
I don't even know where to start....
My husband has been diagnosed with bowel cancer and is starting treatment today (5 and half weeks radiotherapy).
He is a coach driver and didn't know how it would effect him so told his boss he will need to take some time off to concentrate on treatment. He has worked for him for round 6 months.
Long story short his boss paid his last wage and sent him his p45 saying he would be better off claiming from the government than getting SSP.
Tried to claim UC but we don't qualify. I work and we do have some savings.
I am so annoyed and frustrated as my husband has always worked and never claimed anything, I know I am not the one with Cancer but I don't know how much longerI will hold up. I am stressed out with everything, work, money worries, looking after my husband and we also have a 14 year old son.
Sorry for the rant I just needed to vent.

Hi Kell Sug
So sorry to hear about your husband but also what is happening to the rest of your family too, I see no venting here just a quick call for help.
What I would suggest is you ring our helpline 0800 808 0000 and ask to talk to one on the teams there - see https://www.macmillan.org.uk/advocacy/campaigns/money-one-less-worry
<<hugs>>
Steve
