Please help me to understand how to cope with a recent MDS diagnosis for my husband...I'm in absolute bits and have no idea where to go. He is my world and I feel so lost without him and yet he's still with me..
How do I support him when I'm so devastated?
Hi Snacky010
Many people when they first hear the word cancer feel just like you, if we look at your feelings when someone has cancer we can see how very common this is.
Perhaps the thing I most learnt with my wife's cancer is that to support her I needed to look after myself. I did a living with less stress course and a key take away was to try to keep the focus on the here and now rather than that dark future that I could not control. Of course life still likes to throw us a curveball and the conscious breathing exercises can really help there.
