My brother has had cancer 3 times over the last 4 years. We had the worst news a few days ago which was the cancer is back in 12 places in his liver. The only treatment is chemo for 8 weeks to try to control it.
I really don't know which way to turn for support as he lives alone and there will only be me & my husband to help to care for him.
We are all devasted and are struggling to digest the news.
Hi LisaLou - well done for coming here to contact us I think we have all experienced these worries.
First and foremost I might suggest ring the helpline here and talk to them 0808 808 00 00 (open 7 days a week, 8am to 8pm) since then you can talk through the next steps to take.
Perhaps most important of all - remember what you need too - I have certainly been there where I put all my effort in to my wife until my tank was empty - did not really help anyone.
<<hugs>>
Steve
