Hello wonderful carers
My husband has been diagnosed with s tage3C lung cancer and due to start 6 weeks of chemo and radio therapy. My GP has signed me off work until the 10th March to support him and also the stress of trying to work and care for him.
I don't get paid if I'm off sick so will only be entitled to statutory sick pay, can I claim any type of benefit under the circumstances as it's quite a drop in our income during these tough times?
I should mention fortunately my husband gets full pay so this makes me think I won't be entitled to anything.
