My wife was diagnosed with rectal cancer in 2021 and at fitwe thought we had caught it at stage 3 but after radiotherapy and chemo in the first few months of 2022 a scan showed that it had already spread to the liver. Now on 14th palliative chemo!
It has been an emotional rollercoaster and we try to stay positive! I work 3 days a week which has become my safe place!!
Looking forward to be able to share with others and all support each other.
Hi Andie
Fingers crossed for the chemo - with my wife (Leiomyosarcoma) the 2nd type of chemotherapy she had made her cancer stable.
Definitely get what you say about work being a safe space - it is easy to feel the loss of control with cancer and being more in control at work.
<<hugs>>
Steve
