new to the site
dad has mesothelioma and I feel so helpless. Think he’s end of life now and it’s heartbreaking to watch. Not sure how long he has left. I’m off sick from work to care for him.

My wife's cancer is very different and I have had times coping where I have been signed of sick. Fortunately we have a generous sick leave policy designed to be supportive so it was not too much of a problem. One thing I had to learn the hard way though was to remember to look after myself - I could not really help Janice as much as I might like if I was ill.
