Hello all.
I'm just reaching out as my husband has been told his has stage 4 lung cancer and we're seeing the consultant to discuss treatments tomorrow.
For the last three weeks (since the scan showed two masses) I've been positive and proactive, even though watching my husband in pain is devastating Today I'm really struggling though, I just keep feeling waves of dread and fear. I'm worried that this won't shift and I won't be able to be strong for my husband.
Has anyone else felt this before receiving a treatment plan? Should it shift once we know the next steps?
Thank you xx
Hi taffyemmie and welcome to our community.
Very many people find the time between diagnosis and treatment incredibly challenging and do often feel better when a treatment plan is in place. There can be a great many emotions we go through as shown in this page.but reaching out on here where we all understand can be really helpful.
Sometimes typing works well but remember you can always ring the helpline too when you need.
<<hugs>>
Steve
