Hey Kerry,
Has your hospital/gp not put you in touch with local hospice for nurses to come in and help?
Im a bit new to all this but when my mom was discharged from hospital they asked if we needed any carers to help, we have support from local hospice and district nurses.
It is massively overwhelming and really hard to keep emotions in check especially when seeing a parent in pain or not eating.
Maybe contacting gp or if your dad was in hospital the team there as they should of put a care package in place. Failing that ring macmillian they will be able to advise how you can get help.
Sending you strength and best wishes to you both x
