Hello
My 12 year old daughter is in remission with Acute myeloid leukaemia
diagnosed at 9 years of age she has endured intensive chemotherapy and is now nearly 2.5 years in remission
the last two months have been so difficult, her bloods began to lower platelets and haemoglobin
at first we though it was long Covid and initial tests haven’t detected any blast cells. But as her levels remain low they did a bone marrow aspiration last week at marsden we are waiting on results.
I am a single mum desperately trying to hold things together she’s so scared it’s come back as I am. Last night she came into my room and held my hand, she said I am frightened mum. My heart is breaking.
months of no sleep, panic attacks and this constant dread. It’s becoming too much.
anybody else had experience of long Covid effecting blood counts ? I am still trying to hold onto this isn’t a relapse. Thank you for reading
