My partner has been having chemo for throat cancer he has it on right tonsil back of tongue and lymph glands.
The chemo hasn't worked so his only option is for a 12 to 14 hour surgery to include using skin from his arm to graft onto the throat
Has anyone had this? I just need to know more regards eating drinking speaking afterwards.and general recovery time. What will I need to do to help him.
Any advice welcome please.

Also MacMillan help page, which has links to, other support services such as the Mouth cancer foundation
