Just came home to find my husband on the floor bleeding. He is terminal and has many open tumors from his groin to his knees. He had fallen for the first time as he's been using a stick and has very limited mobility. I was so scared. He's also on blood thinners so there was lots of blood. Fortunately the district nurses came quickly and helped to redress the wounds but I am really worried about what the future holds. I have started to work part time and in so glad otherwise the kids would have found him when they got home from school.

That does sound like quite a shock and not surprised you feel scared about the future. It is amazing what we do manage to cope with and so glad the district nurses came quickly since I guess the alternative may well have been a 999 call.
