Do you think this is a good idea to take part in cancer trials. We are in the Atlanta trial at the Royal Marsden Chelsea is it better treatment difficult to know whether we have done the right thing or not. My husband has advanced prostate cancer.

Sorry to hear about your husband and further that I cannot really give you an answer to your question. It might help to look at this booklet you can both read online.
It is always very difficult to know if we have made the right decision where 20-20 hindsight is a wonderful way of beating ourselves up. We can all I am sure recognize the wonder of "what if's" from lots of things in our past.
If could be if you introduced yourself on our Prostate cancer forum there could be people who have also been through this decision and might be able to share their experiences and decisions with you both.
