Hi Everyone. My Dad has just come out from hospital after having major surgery and was there for 5 weeks. He is in the care of the district nurses and needs an OT
assessment urgently. To provide him with a new chair, bed, and bathroom aids. They are taking forever. I wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction. On who I can contact regarding this. He is having radiotherapy for 5 weeks and he is 82 years old.
Hi
Sorry to hear about your dad, I know there is a lot of pressure to get people out of hospital at the moment and with potential covid cases perhaps being in hospital is something we might like to avoid.
Here is a link to the NHS linked needs assessment process, the service being provided by his local authority. Getting a needs assessment
