Hi ime Amanda and few weeks ago we found out my mum has lung cancer.   I am the only one who cares for her because all our family live away.   It's so difficult and so much pressure. I am 48 and have 2 adult children who are 19 and live with me. My son depends on me more because he has epilepsy and ime his carer. But just feel so bogged down by everything and struggling to cope.

  • Welcome to the forum Amanda sorry to hear about your mum. I’ve not been on here long (my husband has oesophageal cancer and he’s starting treatment next week) but in the short space of time I’ve beeHuggingpart of this group I have ‘met’ some wonderful people who will chat, offer advice and share experiences so that you will know that you are not alone Hugging. Keep popping on and posting and someone will always answer you and offer some comfort to keep you going. Sending you a big hug Hugging one day at a time is the way to go from my experience of this blasted disease Sparkling heart

Hi Tishy thankyou so much for kind words. It's nice to know their is someone in a similar position as me.  You obviously must care for your husband in a big way.  I go round and see my mum most days. It's very hard on us carers though isn't it.
