These fleeces are so cosy, especially as the weather is so grey and damp, hot coffee and tea and some teacakes in the cupboard ready for toasting,

I heard some slightly warmer weather is on the way, let's hope

    Gentle hugs xxxxx

  • Mmmmmmm, toasted teacake, thank you so much! It was a very early morning here, had to get daughter to the station for 8am as she's on a flight to Austria. She says it's very odd not flying with her trombone!

Hope for some warmth, I keep on wondering why they left the door open this long in the Arctic!

    Hugs to all xxx

    Morning all,

It's been quiet in here! I had a nice soak in the hot tub and made some cookies.

Going shopping with my sister shortly, may get a bottle of bubbly for this evening and a good movie if anyone wants to join me later. Hope everyone is feeling well today.

  • Morning Rose,

Thank you, I sneaked a cookie! Yum!

I'm alone at home today as I've had a rough time with neck pain and radiating down my arm, had the first of a few Physio appointments yesterday, stirred it up well! However, I trust my Physio and know it will help. Otherwise would be at Bletchley Park, where hubby has gone.....

So, a soak in the hot tub helps.....

    Happy Valentines Day, all

    Morning all,

I've just sneaked in for a soak before a busy day. I'm off to America for two weeks tomorrow.

I brought croissants to go with our coffee.

I'm feeling happy today...I have red roses and a lovely card from my new man.

Morning all. I actually spent 45 minutes in an outside hot tub with gentle snow falling on Friday. Quite pleasant but no yearnings to repeat the experience.

Enjoying the croissants and coffee thank you

Moomy so sorry you are in pain I hope it is soon relieved

hope you all enjoy your day.

Lynda have a wonderful time in America and so pleased you are happy. I had a lovely card as well and we are going out for a special lunch today.

    love to all xx

  • Mmm, hot tub must be helping, or is it the enforced rest and regular paracetamol?

The faeries just dropped by with toasted tea cakes and hot chocolates.....

Came in for a sugar fix and to snuggle up by the fire, had a rough night feeling a bit sorry for myself.

I think it is because I had such a good time on my York trip (as in time away not the trip up the hotel steps lol) that I needed something to look forward to to keep me going. Then I got on the track of what have I really got to look forward to with incurable cancer.

So I have just booked myself and my sister into a hotel in Harrogate for my birthday next month, cashed in my pension and am going to shop til I drop and eat at the best restaurant I can find.  Feel better now.

Used my time awake last night to make you all shortbread, it is still warm so enjoy it with a nice hot coffee.

    Hugs to all

    Rose xx

  • Awww, Rose,

That sounded tough, really sad.....would love to give you a real hug but sending you a big (hug) via the ether instead....

A break in Harrogate sounds lovely to look forward to, it's one stylish place, I understand and I've never been to.

Getting fed up with neck and arm pain but it's not quite as intense as it was 24 hours ago, or even 48 hours ago when I had Physio. I've a few trapped neck nerves, possibly as a result of lying quite still for several days after my short eye op, and also leaning back 4 times a day ever since using drops.....can't take codeine or anti inflammatory drugs unfortunately! Grrrr! Think the hot tub might help so will go and soak for a bit......

Will have some of your amazing shortbread afterwards, thank you

    Hugs to all xxx
