Hello everyone,
the title says it all, this is a thread for everyone at any and all hours of day and night, to post, help, laugh, cry and anything in between. There will be no nasty posts, everyone who joins in will be gentle, considerate and kind to everyone else. Hugs to all......xxx
Brrr it is cold out there! Hi all, hope you are keeping warm, only been out to shake a duster today, felt as though I needed a day at home.
Read an inspiring quote about self esteem, it said "don't compare yourself to anyone else and don't compare yourself to how you were before your cancer diagnosis"
Somehow I needed to hear that so thought I would share...
Brought some chocolate cake and made a pot of tea, the wood burner is toasty warm
Hugs

Hi all, yes it has been very cold all day. I have been to ex father in laws funeral and have not been able to get warm all day. Curled up now in fleecy pyjamas and dressing gown with my dog on my lap and slowly thawing out!!
Feeling a bit down after seeing daughter in laws Facebook page where she had taken photos of my ex's wife quote 'Godmummy / Grandma .......' . Really upset me since there was no way I was going to be allowed a cuddle. It's silly I suppose but contact with them always leaves me feeling worthless. Youngest son and family are very much closer to me but he wasn't well enough to come with me today. Moan over.
Love and hugs

Hi everyone,
It's lovely and warm in here!
I've brought some choccy cake to share.....oops, I see Moura has too, but then you can never have too much cake!
So sorry you are sore, Lynda, waking that often, oh dear! Hope your pool, sauna and jacuzzi have helped.
Hi Christine, good to see you popping in, do help eat some cake!
Maggie, I spotted you snoozing away and just gently popped a fleece over you, hope I didn't wake you....
It's been a long day, I did manage a short snooze but as daughter is on the last few minutes of her journey home I expect I will be cooking her dinner very soon, she's had a really hectic day, bless her. Hope that sore throats she had early today won't develop any further!
Gentle hugs to all xxx

Good morning all,
Just popped in while I wait for my sister to wake up for breakfast, listening to her gentle snore is quite comforting.
First day in York was lovely, arrived to the fog lifting off the river and the sun coming out. We were starving so went for lunch in the hotel. I ordered ham hock and leak pie with creamed potatoes and peas, it was divine, the waitress said to me that guests don't normally have such big lunches before a walk around the city, my reply was that I am no ordinary guest then ordered dessert.
Had a bit of a spill on the hotel steps due to the height of the rise on them and my wasted thigh muscles not cooperating, reception staff must have thought I was drunk lol, my sister picked me up and we giggled to the lift like kids. My knees woke me up at 4am throbbing due to the spill but my cocodamol soon kicked in.
I have left you all some rather large ginger parkin buiscuits to go with your cuppa, enjoy
Hope today brings nice things.

Hi everyone,
Rose, that tumble made me think 'ouch' for you, hope those knees recover ok!
Lynda, how are your aches and pains?
Me, I'm almost at the end of restrictions for the eye op, today is 2 weeks! So although I shouldn't ever lift heavy stuff (ha, for a number of reasons!) I can from tomorrow, bend over rather than wear our hips and knees so much, wash my hair properly, drive, wear eye make up and generally do a bit more! Phew, roll on end of March when I can get the contact lens sorted! Then hopefully if the other eye lasts, I will be able to get that one sorted at a similar time of year as it works well for everything in my life! Dog has also gone home so I can rest a bit more!
Hope everyone is doing well, have checked that there are plenty of eats, and put on some fresh coffee, there's also some wine chilling......
Hugs to you all xxx
Moomy
Will set the hefty faeries on to it, Lynda! They will manage that I'm sure, haha!

Hi all,
Aches have almost gone thankfully. Hot tub sounds like a good idea considering my boiler decided to go on strike when I got home. Heating works but hot water is intermittent.
Hope everyone is keeping warm and cosy in this chilly weather, snowing here at the minute, just light so not laying thankfully.
There is some cocoa made and marshmallows.......Enjoy
Rose xx
Morning all,
Snow flurries here in Sheffield, a light covering on the cars, so a day at home seems like a good idea, apart from a hair appointment this afternoon, there isn't anything else pressing to do outside
Every hair cut makes me appreciate having hair after losing it twice to chemotherapy!
Glad your aches have almost gone Rose and that your eyes are improving Moomy, hope the faeries are progressing with the hot tub, great idea :)
Coffee and tea on the go,
Much love, Moira xxxxx
