Hello everyone.
I have had a bad few weeks as well - must be catching. Ended up in A&E last night a 1am with severe bladder infection, hopefully that is the end of my extended blip.
Glad things have been sorted out at work Carol, hope Ruby is ok, love to see some pictures.
So pleased you are getting out and about Moomy and your daughter is doing well.
Hope you are feeling brighter Lynda.
Love and best wishes to everyone
Jasmin
Hi all,
So sorry to hear you've all been having tough times. I've made a choccy cake to help boost you all (don't forget that in here you cannot get fat!)
I've been lazy the last few days, apart from at Bletchley of course, so pulled myself up by my boot strings, did the cleaning on Monday with lots of washing and changing of beds and then after shopping on our way home from BP yesterday I did all remaining washing and ironing today, being a breezy day it all dried very fast, all done and away! Now feeling virtuous!
Daughter MIGHT be shown on the new BBC series on amateur orchestras, she did a couple of coaching sessions for some trombone soloists, but they might of course cut all that out! She's also been filming as an 'extra' as a New York baseball fan on a train for a new Pinewood film. Good experience apart from the early starts, she said! (She doesn't happily or normally do mornings!) Catering was good, and she got plenty of overtime payment!
More kittens, Carol? Wow, your wee ones have been busy!
So hope you are all perking up again, this lovely room has been lonely!

Evening all. Just having a little brandy, the bottle is on the side for anyone who would like a nightcap.
It is Gala week and well dressing in our village this week and I have been stewarding in Church. You meet some lovely people who sit and have a chat over a cuppa.
Then this afternoon a friend who has been very supportive came round. She had breast cancer 10 years ago and has just found out she has secondaries in her liver and her bones. She is obviously pretty devastated. So we had a cuppa and a long chat.
She has a positive attitude and all we can do is stand together and support each other. Fight this disease together.
Sorry to hear about your friend Gillian.
It is a bitter blow when cancer returns!! Hope you can help her along without making yourself too sad.
the chat seems muted recently everyone wrapped up in their separate lives. I will join you in a brandy.
i expect you all know that I have stepped down from the Community champ role. I found I could no longer give the help and support without it affecting me and making me sad. I am a very lucky person I have a super family, had 50 years with a wonderful man and have now met another wonderful man to make a new life with. I must have done something good! I need to make the most of this extra chance of happiness with which I have been blessed.
so I wont be around much but I will keep in touch with all my special friends as I could not have survived without you.
Peace health and love xxx
Bless you Christine. Cheers and all the best for the future
Christine- we must each make the most of what we have, and what we can have, I think we all know life can be sadly too short, so keep regrettes low, and all the best and hoping this is to bring you more happyness.
Gillian- what I think a lot of us fear, the return of this dredful disease, hope you can be some sollace to her, and hoping she can have the strength, this second time around. Strength to both of you.
I seem to be doing rather well, the past week.... not quite sure why, so just hoping it improves, even more soon as I start yet another hormone replacement, for one I'm missing...
all take care of yourselves now...... and I think I'll join you in a brandy, already had a few pints of beer tonight earlier, out at a very nearby pub...
Gillian, so sorry about your friend, it is always there, that worry, and for her it's become real. I'm sure you will be a great source of comfort and inspiration for her.
Christine, you and me both, I felt I simply couldn't continue at the pace I'd been at, and was in any case not posting in carers groups. I'm so happy to know how good life is for you now, it shows that a good life just doesn't end sometimes! Happy for you both, it was really great to meet you both and see how happy you are together.
Mark, I am pleased that the change of meds seems to be clicking everything into place for you, maybe now you can begin thinking about having a wedding blessing to comfort you both for your illness on the day?
It's too early for a brandy, will have a coffee though. I slept well!

Today a milestone has been reached, daughter is coming up to her 5 year anniversary for her brand new immune system, and saw consultant, who said 'see you in a year'!!!!!!
She knows she can always email or text him if she's really struggling, but it seems it's a good time for her at long last! We started this 'journey' in 2004!
Hugs to you all xxx
