Hello everyone,
the title says it all, this is a thread for everyone at any and all hours of day and night, to post, help, laugh, cry and anything in between. There will be no nasty posts, everyone who joins in will be gentle, considerate and kind to everyone else. Hugs to all......xxx
It won't help to say it has been cloudy and sunny here today but warm enough to lie on a sun lounger in my bikini then?
Madeira wine (sweet and dry) and some honey cake in the kitchen to cheer you all up.
Huh no that won't do at all thank you but hope you are having a wonderful time xxxxx
This is EXACTLY what you DON'T say to somebody who is feeling down and unhappy it makes them feel a lot worse, so don't do it please:
Excuse me Diane am I missing something here ????
Evening all, just popped in for a warm,it's flipping horrible here,i do hope it's better at the weekend as it's the local flower festival & lots of churches will be decorated & one of the villages is having a parade & family fun day, such a shame when the weather spoils these things
Pleased you're having a good time Lynda & that the weather's good for you,i'd love to be sat outside with a good book & a glass of wine, best i'm getting at the minute is a mug of hot chocolate sat up in bed with my book
How are we all doing,i'm just plodding along,as you do,i've decided to do a few less hours at work now & make more time to do things for me,i was in danger of ending up doing as many hours as i did at my last job & i don't want that anymore, there won't be as much money coming in but money isn't everything is it
Bit of a random statement there Diane, have i missed something somewhere in previous posts
How's the family Moomy, all doing much better i hope
I've made a big jug of chocolate & there's cream & marshmallows on the side, please help yourselves,i'm now off up with mine to have a read
Love & hugs to all
xx
Excuse me Diane. This is 24/7, we laugh and joke with one another, not the place to take offence. I know christine well, and I knew she would not be upset by my comment.
Carol, you are so right. Life is too short to spend it all at work. Well done you for getting some balance, money is definitely not everything.
I'm afraid I will have to give the hot chocolate and marshmallows a miss.....too much sugar for my diabetes.
Good to see a few more posts in here though. Jasmin, are you ok?
Sorry about my comment I thought that I was answering another email that I had seen somewhere. Please forgive me, I am SO sorry about that.
Mmmmmm, hot chocolate with marshmallows, THANK you! Just what I fancied!
It's busy throwing it down with a mix of rain and hail here, with a chilly west wind blowing too. Typical, 'they' ( council-funded cheap contractors!) decided to put a coat of tar on our road today, carefully covering the drains up....trouble is, they didn't finish!
Think (hope!) the kids are ok, son (who had the ear op) is busy rehearsing for a concert Saturday. Daughter (with her 3-year old immune system) is getting ready for an audition for principal section leader on Sunday (that she is using for audition practise) and will be driving here tomorrow.
I'm recovered from my concert last Saturday, it only took a day! And just had a cleaning spell today (no, it isn't Spring, I've decided, it's winter after all!) but not quite the frenzy of a spring clean....
Lynda, enjoy that holiday.....bring us back some warm sun, please?
Christine, lovely to see you Tuesday.....
Carol, kittens beginning to behave? Glad you're not working too much, you need the work-life balance to be right!
Gillian, hope you are doing ok?
Jasmin, thinking of you, lovey....
Hugs to you all xxx
Ps, Diane, mistakes happen! We can giggle about them in here.....it's allowed! Hope you are ok though? Hugs xxx
Moomy
Hi it doesn't help at all, but I wish I was somewhere nice and warm. Lucky you though, make the most of it. I did hear today that it is supposed to get warmer next weekend, but this weekend looks very cold and wet here.
Maggie x
