Thanks Jakki,i have been eating the odd icecream & that yogurt sounds lovely,no sobbing for me today (that's a first for over a week now) but lots of slobbing as i've spent a lazy day reading my book
Christine i'm so sorry that you've had such a hard time booking your holiday & i hope that you have a wonderful time, you certainly deserve it
Love & hugs to all

Oh Christine, sending you a huge hug, these 'firsts' are going to hit you all the time.
Carol, really glad that you are feeling better and not weeping as much.
This weeping for us women is right, though, we need to allow those emotions to come out.
I had a wonderfully hot lentil curry this evening, so sorry there's none left.....but there are some apple turnovers, do help yourselves...
Hugs to all xxx

Yes Grandma,
the first one is really tough. The second one is tough, the third....well still tough. But after experimenting with two long weekends away I am just back from 2 weeks in Spain with my parents. It was ok most of the time. I had moments where things caught me unawares. But mostly ok. And I do have a good tan.
so all please enjoy the Spanish cava (2 euros a bottle) and raise a glass to being ok.
Oh my! hard to believe but I've been really good this lunchtime, made a huge salad and had some, there's still lots left so I've put it in the pretty cut glass bowl in the fridge with some cling film over......do help yourselves, there are some hard boiled eggs and cheese too....

Hi, just in case, made another cuppa for you, hope it's not too late :))
yes, I wasn't expecting sun till late as it was very cloudy this morning, but by the time I went out to my lunch time choir the sun had burned off the cloud and it was lovely. Then daughter popped in, at least she phoned to say the traffic was dreadful but could she pop in on her way to London, please, oh and yes, she would love some dinner thank you! I had invited her earlier as she had phoned to say she could pop in but wouldn't stay long.......she is now in London!
We had the third bbq as it was so lovely out in the garden, I had made salad and potato salad again.....
the fruit salad you left ( I only had a little) was very tasty, thank you very much
hugs to all xxx

Jakki,
sometimes it's great to let 'him indoors' do the cooking, well, at least, the meat! Yes, I make salad and potato salad earlier and then just sit back and watch!
Daughter enjoyed it too.....
Think we have been forecast some downturn in temps for this coming weekend, but it will improve sometime, so get that bbq out and dusted down ready!
