I am trying MENCAP, Scope and all other people. I am going to email Scope tomorrow to ask them?
Hi Carol,
From a very sunny fuerteventura.
I am here on my own, well me and my I pad. First time I have done anything like this on my own, but it is ok, I am really enjoying getting some sunshine after the miserable wet winter we have had in Cumbria.
The only time it feels a bit strange is after dinner when most people are in groups or couples, but I have seen a couple of other people on their own.
Hope the weigh in goes well Christine. I'm afraid I am probably putting on all the weight I have lost. I really must start being more carefull........I'm sure I didn't need that second croissant this morning!
Ian, good to see you posting, but sorry things are so hard for you at the moment. Will we see you at the champs meet?
Morning all from a sunny Peak District
Moony I hope your son is on the mend and both of them are back soon.
Lynda it sounds like fun in the sun. I think you are very brave going alone. Have a lovely time.
Ian sorry to hear you are down, there is little to say except to offer virtual support.
Those kittens are still amusing, I hope you find someone to feed them so you can have a break.
Diane sorry I don't think I can help you, I hope you eventually get support though.
We had a lovely weekend with my nephew and his girlfriend despite the awful weather. We went out to lunch instead of going for a little walk, it just was not fit enough. Then we took them on a guided tour of the area by car.
No hospital or doctors appointment this week Hurrah. I can start to think about what is a normal life now treatment for cancer has ended. I still dialyse every other day and will have to forever, but that then becomes part of normal life (whatever that is).
Hugs to everyone who needs them.
Hello everyone, from a mild Buckinghamshire.....
So sorry I haven't typed much, it's been hectic what with son's dog, disabled hubs who had a birthday yesterday and daughter who came for that and to deal with complex paperwork with our help! Oh, and loads of texting to and from Goa, son and son in law!
Son is out of hospital, (Phew!) wobbly and struggling with white noise from the ear, but he is eating, drinking, and all else at last! (He's a private chap so dealing with bedpans was not his idea of fun!) so we hope that in a day or two they can arrange flights to get home.
Hopefully my neck pain can also get up and go.....
Hugs to you all, extra big ones to those of you who, I know, need them xxx
Moomy

....now the battle with AXA begins....... They think he could have waited till he got home! (He was in so much pain he was almost passing out!) he also needs to get a 'fit to fly' paper.
Hugs to you all xxx
Moomy
It is never easy but if they were notified from the start then they can hardly refuse to cover the expenses now. You always have to have that "fit to fly" before they will allow you to board the plane just in case any further damage occurs.
i am sure it will all be resolved. How they love wrapping everything in red tape!!
Take care keep your stress levels down, at least he is feeling better now xx
Yes, it's always worth battling and I've given them ideas, plus going onto the ombudsman if they don't get anywhere with AXA, done that myself and got the money back.
Hugs xxx
Moomy
Today's update, we are still no further forward as to getting the poor chap home. He's wobbly-kneed (most likely from the anaesthetic) but still has some head aches and so on, think they felt the acute middle ear infection had begun as a result of sinusitis. They were going to give AXA hell around 5.30 pm our time, hope that things get moving, haven't heard any more yet.
Hugs to you all xxx
Moomy
