I'm with hubby & daughter,my bag's mine but i might try some of yours if you offer & i'm the same with biscuits,i hide the ones i like best & eat them when i'm home alone

Wrap up warm all as it's freezing out there today,in fact it's warmer in my freezer than outside as the flipping thing has packed up,more expense & had to rush round like a loony getting stuff out & down to mum to put in hers, couldn't get in all in so there will be 4 very happy little people when they get home from school & find out aunty Carol has been down with cakes, crumble, fruit & lollies for them

Right, must get on as i'm at work this afternoon & i have things to do befor i go,i've made a pot of tea & a jug of coffee & there's a fresh loaf butter & homemade raspberry jam if anybody wants breakfast

    Love & hugs to all

    xx

I started radiotherapy today, 15 sessions in 3 weeks. So one down 14 to go.

Popped in here to relax, tomorrow will be a busy day. Hubby has a small op on his mouth, I have radiotherapy,  herceptin injection and hospital dialysis because Hubby can't do it.

I am hoping Hubby will be ok, I am sure he will be but you always worry a bit.

Sending you good vibes Gillian. Will be thinking of you tomorrow.

    Love and hugs xx

  • Oh Gillian, what a lot on your plate right now! Thinking of you and your hubby, sending good vibes.

I'm typing this on the iPad in bed, no, not poorly but shattered! Took daughter to an award winning hotel and spa for 24 hours of pampering and enjoyment! Yes it was great and she really enjoyed her time, even falling asleep during her head massage! I had so many 'thank you's' on our way back home! Then as she got down to some music work hubs and I took off to do a full team Bombe demo session to staff and volunteers, took some organising, we separated them into 2 groups and took the groups on differing 'routes' round the whole code breaking subject.

Then got home, in the meantime she drove to her London base, as she has an early London start tomorrow.

    Hugs to you all xxx

  • Hope today has gone as well as possible, Gillian, I've been thinking about you and your hubby.

Have left some cookies, kettle is hot and the coffee machine is running well.....

How are the kittens, Carol? Any more disasters caused? More curtains down?

Christine, Keith, Jasmin, thinking of you

    Hugs to you all xxx

Hope all went well for you both today Gillian

Hope all are as well as can be

They are holy horrors Moomy,Medusa spent the morning trying to help me tidy the bedroom yesterday, well i think she was trying to help,i did tell her if she got in the box again i was shutting her in & posting her somewhere far away but that didn't stop her,Willow spent the morning entertaining herself & i'm not sure what Polly was doing but i would imagine she was sleeping,at he minute the curtains are still up & the house is intact but they're in the bathroom having tea no doubt there will be mischief afoot later

Well how about this then,me & my work mate have been ask if we'd like to go & have a few hours twice a week at another venue that the big cheese owns & do some cleaning there, must be doing something right to get ask if we want more work, mind you when i ask if i'll get traveling expenses they might change their minds

Cuppa was lovely, just what i needed on this cold evening,i've put some Danish cookies in the biscuit tin

    Keep safe & warm everybody

    Love & hugs Carol

    xx

Hi Gillian, hope you are ok and your radiotherapy is going well, one piece of advice I was given and which really did help when I had mine drink plenty of water, and try to go for a 20 minute walk each day, difficult at the moment with the weather but really did help me.  Hope your hubby is ok as well.  Jasmin xx

Thanks for all your good wishes, and for the advice jmt, sounds good, I will try to do that.

We are both now home, Hubby feeling rotten but hopefully will feel better when he has had a good nights sleep. Radiotherapy was Ok 2 down 13 to go. Everything went to plan for once.

Your kitties made me laugh as always.

  • Gillian, pleased that things are going to plan, hope your hubby feels better today.

Carol, those kitties are funny, i hope you are at least taking notes and writing a diary of their antics? It will make you laugh in times to come! Great to hear about the extra work, hope it won't be too much for you? You certainly did the right thing, walking out of the previous job! You are doing so well you are really appreciated!

I'm feeling very emotional.....daughter booked flights and accommodation for us both to Berlin next month to meet her bone marrow donor, Thomas, she just forwarded an email from him, he sounds excited, pleased and a bit emotional that they will meet at last. His photo looks amazing. And he seems to want to meet me too! I simply want to tell him that he has done more than he will ever know, and to give him the biggest of huge hugs.

    hugs to you all xxx
