Hello everyone,

the title says it all, this is a thread for everyone at any and all hours of day and night, to post, help, laugh, cry and anything in between. There will be no nasty posts, everyone who joins in will be gentle, considerate and kind to everyone else. Hugs to all......xxx

  • Hi Wee Saz, and welcome!

I too think Halloween an American invention, but hey, whatever, must be getting tolerant in my old age!

Memories, Christine and Lynda, I think that's the dark evenings making it worse, somehow. Special big hugs for you.

I lost my Dad at this time of year, ( I was 24 and had recently married, he had lung cancer but still made sure he walked me down the aisle) and always remember what fun he made the local town 'mops' were, dating from this same time of year and similar to Nottingham's Goose Fair. we never had much money but he'd always take me and ensure I went on as many rides as he could afford, especially the gallopers.

Autumn is beautiful but somehow sad with the trees dropping their leaves and everything going into hibernation.

Sending everyone hugs and another G&T

    xxx

    Moomy

    Jakki,

My sister brought me a glass like that, and said no more than one glass a day. Fine by me, it holds a complete bottle!

    moomy -  Christine and Lynda..

Me too, memories and 'this time of year', the sort of coming up too, and just over  Christmas seems to be when everyone in my family does 'getting ill', My Mother died from cancer, round Christmas time, when I was a teenager, and my older Brother who I never knew, also died of cancer, in the autumn/winter. I then myself had my accident that blinded me, in december 1993, an first discovered my lump, (turned out to be the lymphoma)  November last year now - almost a whole year ago already...

I'll leave you lot to your G&T! oddly ... I@m having fennel tea this evening...

    Hello everyone.

Been reading regularly but not posting much, been really busy with work and not sure why but seem to have had lots of visitors.

Hope tomorow goes well Lynda, hope you can remember happy times, I am sure it will be a difficult day, I will be thinking of you.  Hope you and your 2 furry friends settle in quickly and you enjoy living in your nnw home.

Hope, your leg, and head are ok and nothing else has happened to you Carol.

I have always believed that you should do whatever you can whenever you can because you want to.  Not always followed my own thoughts though!

Gillian the autumn leaves do look lovely this year, but I have spent 4 hours leaf sweeping today, but there will be the same amount to sweep tomorrow I expect.

Your afternoon tea sounds lovely Jakkk, then G&T even lovlier.

Hope you are ok Moomy and your daughter doesnt scare too many children.

I think the early dark nights give us more time to think, I am unfortunately having sad thoughts and worry for the future.   It is so hard and I do think of you a lot  Christine and wonder how you are coping.

Well, back to tbe knitting, my god sons partner has just had a little boy, and my friend has asked me to knit for her new grand daughter.

Lots of love to all Jasmin xx

Ian, one glass absolutely, it also counts if someone refills it before it's empty.

Aw Mark, you're a sweetie think we all do each other good!

I agree Moomy Autumn is the warning that winter is coming but she does have some highs
