Hi Mark
I'm a big believer that you are who you are & if people don't like it tough nelly, this is me & those that don't like it don't have to be in my company do they, maybe i should look at lush on line & order a few bits to see if i like them,i love charity shops & have had some mega bargains from them, last year i got a John Rocher dress for £6 & in the last month i've had a brand new new look skirt for £3,a brand new dress for £1 & this week got a red tartan kilt for £2.95,i do love a bargain,no matter where we go we have a look in the charity shops, however, the first place we go is somewhere to get a cuppa & cake
Well how odd is this, today i took my phone out of my bag & there was a white feather stuck to it & i'm sure it wasn't in there when i put my phone in my bag,bit spooky or what, talking of spooky, happy halloween,i'll be out on the old broomstick later
Love & hugs Carol
xx
Hello all,
ouch Carol, that sounds painful. I hope you are resting today.
Mark, it's good to be true to yourself. Life is too short not to live it to the full.
well, the day is nearly here. I move in tomorrow. All is now in the new house except me, the cats and the overnight stuff. Apart that is from one chest of drawers. My son and I tried to lift it earlier and it is too heavy for me to lift my end. daughter in Law is not allowed to lift (ssh ......it's a secret!). So that will have to stay here until my other son comes up for Christmas. there isn't anything in it that I need for now. In fac I have a suspicion that I could sort through the stuff and send most of it to a charity shop as. Haven't looked in there for over a year.
it has been a miserable misty day here after a lovely sunrise.
hope everyone else is ok.
Good luck with the final move tomorrow Lynda, just think, this time tomorrow you & the cats will be curled up in your new home
Vince took me out for breakfast & since we got home i've been sat with my feet up watching trashy films & reading magazines & taking paracetamol
xx
Hi Lynda
I am pleased to hear all is well with the move. I was going to say you won't know what to do with your time but it sounds as though you will soon be very busy.
You had better get some more holidays sorted pretty soon. Love xxx

Love and hugs to all xx
PS Lynda, congratulations on the secret, hope you know which box knitting needles & patterns are in

I started knitting my eldest son a matinee jacket when I was expecting him 28 years ago. When we moved here in 2013 I gave away the two front pieces with the rest of the wool and pattern!
Yes, I'm going to be busy later next year.
Lol,i have a pattern that i have used for every baby since my goddaughter was born 34 years ago,it is help together with sellotape & a prayer now but i still keep using it'i'm knitting it in pink at the minute & hopeing that somebody i know has a baby girl
Well i must go clean my teeth & get sorted out ready to go see big country tonight
Hope all have a lovely evening

"Mark, it's good to be true to yourself. Life is too short not to live it to the full."
= Absolutely... especially with the 'too short' bit... I think until this cancer thing came along I didn't have any real sense, that there is a limited time we've got to do 'life in'... - I've done an aweful lot of life already, but... I'm goign to try turn up the speed a notch from now on in, or will, rahter, just as soon as I recover a bit more from treatment... wasn't feeling quite so rubbish still from treatment!
A quiet evening for me here, tonight I think... a bath or a shower soon (I've just had dinner), then... try to find something to occupy me for the rest o f the night...
hope all are well
Evening all,
Busy thread with some lovely news too! Lynda congrats on the move and other amazing things.
Mark sounds like you are back into the swing with the drinking, keep practicing and you'll be fine lol.
Carol ouch, take care and enjoy Big Country.
Christine you must be due another hols soon, any plans? We are being very cheeky and having a Christmas ski and a February half term one this year as Gav and the lads had to leave me at home last February. (We decided that the critical insurance payout for my cancer should be used for fun stuff not paying off the mortgage! As you all say 'life's too short').
Moomy, can we have any leftover sweets in here please, I love sweets.
Had a lovely day today at a surprise afternoon tea for a friend's 30th, lots of cake and sandwiches were eaten.
Just having a large G and T, have left Bombay Saphire, tonic and lemon on the table, feel free to join me, raising a glass to Lynda.
Love Jakki xxx
