Thank you sister.
its good that you were able to go with your parents. As you say there is always loads to take in. We used to write any questions down or we forgot to ask them, and write the answers down too.
That's what i told them to do & there's always somebody to go with them to hear what they don't or in dads case doesn't want to hear
xx
Evening All
Very chatty on here tonight. Lynda I hope you have a lovely holiday and take lots of pictures to show us. You are a very courageous and determined lady with a wicked sense of humour and I was privileged to meet up with you last week. I hope it won't be long before we meet again. Your Jon will be well proud of you.
You carry on with your Skiing (spending the kids inheritance) and don't put too much in your suitcase.
Your description of standing on the scales with the suitcase and falling off made me howl as I have done the same thing myself. Then I bought some scales from pound land - much easier!
Sister snail I think when these kittens come they will have to have meaningful names to take to their new owners ? Jess, Priscilla and Michael after the admin team. There will have to be a Mac and of course Bond.
Good luck to your Dad with his chemo x
Gillian hope you are well.
Moomy love to you and to Jakki
Thank you Christine. I can only do what I am doing with the support of you all on here, and on Way Up.
i really enjoyed the meet last week as well. The time just flew by, and I'm looking forward to the next one already. I just hope it won't be while I am in Budapest.
yep, I'm skiing. Don't know if I told you my son was worried about me booking Turkey as he thinks I'm spending my money too fast! I told him I plan to make it last me 30 years......the kids can have the house but I'm spending the rest!
i got J to buy me the travel weighing scales from Lakeland. He works there so gets 20% off. I wouldn't want to miss the holiday due to a broken arm from falling off scales. Try imagine explaining that one to A & E!
yep, definitely Jess, priscilla and Michael. maybe enigma in honour of our codes. morse (endeavour......sorry am I getting a bit obscure.....blame it on the glass of wine I just drank).
Love Skiing, I want all the details when you get back, Gav and the boys had to go without me in February so we def going at Christmas.
Xxxxxx
Not too obscure Lynda, I got that one.
I leave it to hubby to fall off the scales with the cases. I didnt know you could get special ones.
We have decided to have a few days in the Lakes before I start any chemo. So I have been looking for nice hotels, a bit of pampering is called for.
Lovely Gillian. Whereabouts in the Lakes?
i still find it odd going on holiday.....away from the Lakes.
sister (skiing......spending the kids inheritance, not throwing myself down a mountain!).
Around Keswick, Derwent Water and Bassenthwaite. I have booked dialysis treatment in Cockermouth so dont want to be too far from there.
Lovely area. We used to stay up there one week every year (and got married in Cockermouth). Unfortunately the hitel we always stayed in has closed down now.
Oh lol, Lynda I am a bit thick, never heard of ski but get it now, oh well still want to hear about your hols! Did think that you had previously said you were going on a cruise? But then, with my chemo brain I get mixed up with who is doing what.
Perhaps actual skiing could be your next hols?
Think I need words of one syllable from now on.
Last chemo Thursday whoop!
