Hi all,
sneaking in in for a quiet nightcap before going to bed. Very tired as I slept badly last night, don't know why but was awake from 3 until at least 5. Actually I lie, I do know why! I had a hospital eye check up today connected to my diabetes. I'm always petrified that they will tell me not to drive any more as there is no bus service here. Anyway worry unfounded again, eyes have actually improved so much they discharged me from the hospital clinic.
went to see a house near where my son loves, but I didn't like it. Mostly parking issues, plus a fairly busy road at the bottom of the garden. hoping to look at another one this weekend, needs work but plenty of parking and good garden. I don't mind work if I end up with something I really like.
hope everyone else had a good day, and gets a good nights sleep tonight.
Carol and Jakki, so glad you had a lovely time meeting up! (I understand about Bakewell puddings!)
Lynda, bet you are really happy that your eyes have improved, I always worry too, as I usually drive myself to my appointments! (contact lenses check, I have keratoconus so need 6 monthly checks) Hubs too is diabetic and has his yearly checks.
Tired now, need a long rest (well I am an old lady now, lol!) as we are up early for the next few days.
It was a lovely evening, just closing the doors now.....
hugs to you all xxx
Moomy
Pleased you had good news at the eye hospital, that must have been such a relief to get discharged, we live on a very quiet estate so i'd hate to move near a busy road,i do like a quiet life,i hope you sleep better tonight Lynda
Well we appear to have adopted an estate cat here, she's the cutest little black cat, very fussy, skinny & starving hungry, nobody knows where she's come from or if she belongs to anybody, one of the neighbours has taken a photo of her & put on face book & she now has a bed & food & water undercover in our drive,we'd all love to take her in but nobody can,i do hope somebody claims her
xx
Yes, a real relief.
where I am now is the middle of nowhere so I know it's going to be difficult to find something I like.
Has anyone taken the cat to a vet to see if it is microchipped? Poor little thing.
nice to hear the two of you met up as well. the last holiday Jon and I had together we stayed in Bakewell. Very pretty little village and we really enjoyed it, almost exactly a year ago.
moomy, sounds like you have an exhausting schedule at the moment.
Well would you believe non of us had thought of that,i'll see the others tomorrow & ask if anybody has a cat basket to take her in
We're lucky where we are as we're on the main bus route,at the minute it takes me 10 minutes to walk to the bus but as i get older i'm getting slower, the old pins ain't what they used to be
Moomie unless you're over 90 you're not old,you put me to shame,i don't do half as much as you do & i'm worn out at the end of every day
xx
Night all, I have had a lovely day, very contented tonight. It was capped off when Gav presented me with a Lush bag full of goodies for our weekend away.
Lovely to see you today Carol, sleep well xxxxx
Afternoon all. Hubby picked me up from hospital yesterday afternoon. I had a shower and a sleep in my own bed but I am sore and tired as ever. The operation went well but because of other problems they put me in CCU to recover. I then had to be transfered to another hospital for dialysis, so nothing was straightforward.
Anyhow home now, I go next Wedneday to find out what if any chemo they can give me.
I know one step at a time.
Has anyone left any cake.....
Gillian, so good to hear that you are home and able to sleep in your own bed, have been thinking about you.
Have put a cheesecake in the fridge and fruit cake on the table, help yourself to as much as you like, you deserve it.
Let me know about your chemo as I am having chemo at the minute so might be able to answer some of your general chemo questions.
Hope everybody is well today and that you all get some nice weather this weekend.
Will try to send some pics of our little jaunt.
Love Jakki
