Hello everyone,

the title says it all, this is a thread for everyone at any and all hours of day and night, to post, help, laugh, cry and anything in between. There will be no nasty posts, everyone who joins in will be gentle, considerate and kind to everyone else. Hugs to all......xxx

  • My baby is home, and flat out on the sofa, having had second breakfast/early lunch of beans on toast!

Her pal is determined to stay awake, as she needs to get back north tonight, has work tomorrow.

Have been gardening lots this morning, hope to offer you all some home grown soft fruit in here later in the year, but just for now it's Cup cakes! But do help yourselves, kettle is on for afternoon tea, what flavour would anyone prefer, we have a tea caddy with different sorts of teabags.....

    hugs xxx

    Hello all

Pleased your baby is safely home Moomie, must have been a relief to see her come through the door & what an honour to be in the company of a war veteran,i love talking to old people & hearing there tales

It's a lovely photo Jakki,i wish i could work out how to do it but every time i try to change my avatar or post a photo nothing happens

Now off for a soak after a hard day at work then i'm going to have cheese on toast for tea & one of those lovely cupcakes with a cuppa later

    xx

  • Carol, we always worry about our children, but yes, it's good to know she is safely our of the air, flights these days are a concern, she now tries always to fly BA as she feels they are among the safest.

Enjoy the cakes, I will bake and ice some more tomorrow........

Now the trombone is gently swinging here, with 'Autumn Leaves' as she does a bit of practise. Great to hear. She's just shown me a lovely article about mixing her cancer treatments with her busy musical life, written for an International magazine. Wow! I am so proud!

Take care, Sunday evenings come far too soon for those in work, retirement feels good apart from trying to do too much and getting aches and pains!

    Hugs to all xxx

Carol, time with him indoors is more precious than any job.

Oh oh, chocolate time again before things deteriorate.

moomy, glad daughter is home safely. We never stop worrying when they are away.

I'd love to be home with him more but that would mean changing my job & there's not much i'm qualified to do & there's not that much going round here unless you do shifts in a factory & that would mean we saw less of each other,we've got 5 days together week after next & plan lots of hand holding & lazy breakfasts together

I'll put more bars of chocolate in the fridge tomorrow as i think we must be getting bit low

    Love & hugs to all

    xx

It's hard isn't it. Good you have something to look forward to though.

definitely need the chocolate restocking the way we (I) go through it at the moment. Can I put an order in for plain dairy milk. Nothing else quite works as comfort food.

Your wish is my command,i eat chocolate in some form every day

We knew when we got together that i wouldn't be about at weekends & when the kids are little you don't think that one day they won't need fetching for the weekend & that they'll have better things to do than spend time with you,i don't think he'll even want to spend a day with us when we're on holiday this year let alone a week, mind you we'll have plenty to entertain us durring the summer holidays as we have a friends 15 year old with us for a week

    xx

Sounds like you all need chocolate. How good it is to be able to chat freely with understanding friends.

Cadburys dairy milk is the only chocolate for comfort !! I just put a giant bar in the fridge.
