This is the start of a new journey for me and my much loved friends from the original Oesophegus thread on general discussions.
We have become a close group and this will be our new home to continue our journey as life has become very hard for many of us and we keep re-living our journeys with lots of newbies which puts us all back a bit.
So my lovely friends Mel, Sam, Helen, Bern, Jac, Nic, Dawn, Sue, Cath, Lesley, Jani and the many other special friends Mel and I have made over the last 16 months this is it we have a new home.
Love to all and extra strength to carry us through our next stage XXX

Just a quick post, out of respect for our dear Jac and DH, but am back from hols, had a nice time, weather and hotel lovely. Had a run of bad luck whilst we were away though, which put a dampner on things. Hope all are well, thinking of you all
Jac - I am so sorry that things are now at this stage for you and dh. Please know that we will always be here for you and we are with you in spirit now. You are all in my thoughts.
As we all go about our daily routines today, our minds keep wandering to our friend Jac, and we feel that empty feeling in our stomachs, and that ache in our hearts.
We remember this time of calm waiting, so surreal, so accepting, so numb, and we also remember that as a love one passes onto the next world, suddenly every emotion that we have put on hold from their moment of diagnosis, sweeps over you, drowning you in grief.
Each of us remembers the pain, the loneliness and the fear. Fear of suddenly having a world without the person we love so deeply. Fear of wondering if you have the strength to carry on, do what needs doing, tend to the family, remembering to breathe.
Sometimes I wake up, and I have the strength to hide from my loss. Other times I wake and think 'please just let me get through today'. When I have those days I turn to you all, because you understand without me explaining, you know what's behind my smile without asking.
This is the place where Jac will find her comfort. We cannot fix her broken heart, but we can tend to the pieces to make sure no more damage is done. This site is special, we are special, and the power of our empathy should never be underestimated. Today we are in mourning for Jac's Future, but Tomorrow we will all dig deep and we will hold our friend in our hearts and in our minds, sharing all our courage and strength.
Our friend needs us. We will be waiting.
