Hello to you all, I just feel so emotional that so many have left me a message for today's clinic, it is so thoughtful of you all!
Well, the news is still 'watch and wait' as the node we can feel is still the same size as 3 months ago.....her Prof is really pleased as she has put on a bit of weight and has had no night sweats, (which is a sign of active Hodgkin's as well as after chemo).....he still thinks that the disease is active but is impressed that she is still so well, next appointment will be after a scan in October. I told Caz that I had so many people asking and sending love and good wishes, she too feels so grateful for all of you taking an interest.......so, lots of love and big hugs to all......
helen its goodnews that the node is still the same size and hasnt grown and the no night sweats is a good thing also,i hate appointments i get so anxious and upset and angry do you?every time we go its just more bad news!!!!! well hun biggest hugs to you and your beautiful daughter wendy xx
Wendy, we all get worried about these appointments, too, I guess it is inevitable, really, since it is all about health, life, where we go next and so on....
I am really pleased that the trial drug has done so much for her, but really disappointed that it hasn't therefore been kept on and put to the next stage of trial....still, if they find a better one, ok....Thank you for all the hugs, I told her about the many messages and she is pleased and amazed too at how you people feel about her.....bless her! love and hugs to all....
Thats good news Helen, (we've not spoken before but have some good news as well)........sorry for the gatecrash..... Am determined to enjoy the small "wins" against this rotten disease.......Mum's scan on Friday has shown that the two original tumours on her spine have become "marginally" smaller thanks to the radiotherapy. She won't need chemo for the lung until she starts showing some symptoms and is leaving the hospital tomorrow for a week/ 10 days in respite in prepartion for coming home.
