On Monday I had my results of my first MRI scan post OP. The Doctor took me and her that must be obeyed into a side room, to say I was nerves was an understament.
She asked us to sit down as she wanted to go through my notes to discus my progress and medications prior to giving me my results. She told us she had some good news and some even better news.
Firstly all the results of my bloods had come back as excellent and as of next Monday they would be reducing my Phenytoin from 450mg to 300mg and start to ween me off them altogether.
Secondly she was very surprised about my MRI scan results. Normaly a first scan would still show signs of swelling around the brain and normaly imposible to give a clear result, However, on this occasion she said my scan shows up as ALL CLEAR.
What a great and unexpected Birthday and Christmas present concidering that back in May I was given less that 6 months to live.
Long may these clear scans continue.
Sometimes life deals you blows that can knock you to your knees. But no matter what happens, we all have to get up and move forward. Life goes on and long may it continue.
Congratulations. I'm so pleased for you both.
