Some extra special (((((((((hugs)))))))))) for an extra special mum.xxxxxx

  • Today I had an answerphone message from Prof, he wanted to chat about Monday's experience, but as yet either I or he have been occupied.....his lovely secretary says he wants to help get things better for everyone and I'm one person who he wants to talk to about things......

Haven't even chatted by email with Caz today, but she has posted a photo of the tree on Twitter, all decorated, very pretty! (suspect that Guinness therapy might be keeping her busy this evening!)

Had a long meeting at BP about future planning this morning, saw and heard all about Architect and Museum Designer planning, with Princes Trust involvement  too......a presentation first, then split into groups to discuss various aspects, then together for feedback and Q&A.........in 10 years or so it will be a fabulous place to visit instead of the good experience it is right now.

Then did a delivery of more CDs.....then food shopping (cupboards were rather bare) and sorted out, had dinner, sat down and slept!!!!!

love and hugs to you all

    Hi Helen

I'm just now catching up on all you have written. Wow - You and Caz have been through a lot. I'm glad they have finally gotten her liquid meds sorted out, and that you are able to catch up on your sleep.

    Sending you both Big Hugs!!!!

    Love, Maureen xoxoxoxoxoxoxo

  • Well, Caz seems to bounce back quite well from no,1 of the cycle, it seems to get worse with each successive treatment. However, she starts the G-CSF tomorrow to boost those white cells so she can get all doses at full strength.

Prof Radford phoned my mobile tonight, we had quite a long chat, he really wants me to put Monday's horrendous experiences down in a letter to him! He said he can talk to the whole team but it does come better from a service user. Bless him for caring so much! I feel glad that such a traumatic day is well over, and maybe writing about it will be cathartic and put it to rest? I don't know. but I have begun, and the only way, it seems, is to go chronologically. I've read out what I've got so far to Sir who agrees with it, i'll type it up and email Caz with it too, he isn't in a hurry as he knows it may get Christmas post-delayed, but still wants it!

The other thing he talked about was his pleasure that Caz is going to get involved with putting up some music for the Lymphoma Association's 25 year 'bash' in south Buckinghamshire next summer, even if she isn't able to play herself, she has such a broad base of friends in the music business and will manage to get together some great musicians!

love and hugs to you all, am thinking so much of our dear Dot......

    Dear Helen,

Thinking of you and Caz hope she's recovering well from the last lot of chemo

    love and hugs Sharon xxxxxxxxxx

  • Bless you, Sharon, thinking of you and your Mum too.....

Today I've been thinking (hard, I know for a person of little grey matter, lol!) and typing a three sides long letter to Professor Radford.......poor man when he reads it he'll have eye-ache, but he did ask!

I've emailed it to Caz to read before I print it out to send, hubs has read it and says he thinks it's ok.

love and hugs to you all on this grey but slightly warmer day.....

Well done you for putting pen to paper - or in your case fingers on keyboard!!!!!  Don't think your prof's eyes will ache so much as be opened to incompetence!!!!

Agreed about the slightly warmer day - we reached a heady 7.5C this afternoon!!  Water dripping off everything - usually straight down my neck!!!

    Love and ((((hugs)))

    Dot xxxx

  • It got quite hot here, think it also reached 7 degrees, lol! but I didn't get out to have water dripping down my neck, thank goodness......

I have decided a tough job is ahead of me, 3 sides of A4 have to get precis'd down to one! I feel a letter such as that needs to be short and punchy.......grrr, work ahead!

love and hugs to you all
