Dear Helen - sorry that Caz is not so good right now - but I'm sure Mum's TLC will help sort her out...............as for the pampering I did think you could maybe 'do' one another - but methinks that will have to wait a little while.........pampering of the huggy, snuggly kind is more the thing I think........I'm sure you can't go wrong with that??????? And to start you off here's my contribution (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Just invented a way of cooking some choccy chip buns, as she said she suddenly felt she wanted some cake! They have just come out of the oven, well risen and smelling yummy, what it is to be young and slim so one doesn't need to worry, lol! Bless the lass, she is bright as a button again.....though I am concerned about that swelling on her arm, it isn't like a lymphoma lump at all, I really wonder if there is some deep bruising there.
love and hugs to you all, wafting some choc scents to you all, lol!
Moomy
Dear Helen,
Glad that Caz has perked up a bit, the buns sound lovely, can smell them all the way over here lol. Will be keeping everything crossed that the roads are clear for you tommorow.

Well, things are just going along fairly ok, bloods are still low, it sounds as if they have 'bottomed out', hopefully, and are bumping along at the lowest, platelets are still very low but not yet low enough for intervention. The Registrar, who I met for the first time, is lovely and caring and explains all so well too. the lump that I worried about he thinks isn't bruising but an odd reaction to the swine flu jab which she had a week prior to this treatment. We saw her PET scans just brilliant, the node in her neck shows almost gone, the one remaining in her chest is a third of the size now, the rash he thinks is also an odd Hodgkin's delayed reaction to the meds, she has to continue with anti-histamine, steroid ointment to any eczema, moisturisers all the time, in bath/shower, and after too.
Anxious Mum is a bit reassured, he also said we did right, they want to see her again on monday......
Thank you , all of you, for the support and reassurance you give......my love and hugs

Hi Helen - just read your news and it all sounds good............ Hopefully bloods and platelets will begin to rise again without intervention - and that nodes will continue to reduce.........It's so good to be reassured about these things...............Please pass on my best wishes to Caz and my love and ((((((hugs))))))) for both of you Dot xxxxxxxxxxx
Dot, it seems Hodgkin's tends to affect the immune system quite oddly, delaying a lot of 'normal' reactions and altering some altogether, which is why he thinks the arm was the response to the swine flu jab, in the rest of us this would have gone down a couple of months ago, this is still coming up a bit!
I did panic a bit but he says that was actually quite sensible, since any infection now needs to be acted upon very fast, otherwise she could wake up in intensive care! She is ok to work early next week, though, as long as she avoids any obvious infective folk, just takes her temp and acts if that goes up or she feels at all unwell, even if temp is normal.
Love and hugs to you all on here
