All of us on here get both good and bad news, i wanted to start a thread for all types of news, for everyone to post their news.....
  • Oooooh, Mo, I am envious, that must have been wonderful! Glad to hear you are back home, though....I hope your hubs is coping with all that excitement?

I'm just waiting for hubs to get up, then we'll be off once more on trains and buses to visit Caz, hopefully she'll be let out tomorrow, its been a tough week, but she said yesterday that the node she can feel in her neck is 'fizzing' and feeling tender. I have sorted her food out and she's had home-made stuff quite a lot, and a few M&S bits too.

My love and hugs to all on here.....

Hi Helen, hopefully you and hubby have managed to travel after the rain.  Thinking of you all. I bet you will all be over the moon if Caz is coming home tomorrow. Love and big hugs dee x

  • Ah, Dee, good to hear from you, how are you doing? I often think of you......love and hugs to you!

Well, we hope that today might be the last of going to and from London, not only that, but I have worked hard and got the tree from the loft and decorated it ready for a surprise for her, she loves to see Christmas decorations up! Caz is now worried a bit about her stamina, having been just in a small room all week!

We have had some trouble with her food, some that was stored in the patients fridge in the staff kitchen has been dropped and my microwavable container split, we were told we are not allowed in the kitchen, yet today our son was told the staff are not allowed to heat up any food even with the instructions printed on it, he had to go in and search for what she wanted and do it for her! (that's how I know about the container!) The food was in all sorts of odd places too, earlier in the week is was very well organised, I could see it from the doorway when I handed more food for them to put in......methinks a word with Sister is in order tomorrow together with a request for a replacement food container! GRRRRRRR!!!!!!! As if we haven't enough to worry about!

My love and hugs to you all

Dear Helen - here's hoping that Caz is so much less radio-active and can come home today..............must be a strange feeling for her to have various bits of her body 'fizzing'........... Fingers crossed that the trial is successful and paves the way for others to have the same chance of a better life free from this awful illness...................... Love and comforting (((((((((((hugs)))))))))))) for you all Dot xxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Today's count was 28, supposedly not as low as they had hoped, but after a conflab, she was told to start packing! So she is now with us, till Thursday, as the big funeral when she will need to play a solo, is on Wednesday. What a list of do's and don'ts we have though, I haven't yet seen the full one, but know that the loo has to be double flushed, her laundry has to be done separately,  and if she is near us for any length of time, she has to sit 2 metres away, but can have a hug, which of course she has already had!

As yet I haven't had words about the kitchen, but i think I might phone and talk to the ward sister, or I might even drop them a line. It isn't good enough, after all!

My love and hugs to you all
