I looked up the poem 'November' and will try and post it here
November
by Thomas Hood
No sun--no moon!
No morn--no noon!
No dawn--no dusk--no proper time of day--
No sky--no earthly view--
No distance looking blue--
No road--no street--
No "t'other side the way"--
No end to any Row--
No indications where the Crescents go--
No top to any steeple--
No recognitions of familiar people--
No courtesies for showing 'em--
No knowing 'em!
No mail--no post--
No news from any foreign coast--
No park--no ring--no afternoon gentility--
No company--no nobility--
No warmth, no cheerfulness, no healthful ease,
No comfortable feel in any member--
No shade, no shine, no butterflies, no bees,
No fruits, no flowers, no leaves, no birds,
November!

Now in remission, but will be on injections for the rest of my life or until medication stops working.
Got a lot of ground to make up
Just had the normal domestic problems today
Friend has had good news re employment today
Realise that other peoples problems are greater than mine
Hey, Tony, that sounds great! I'm soooooo pleased for you, being in remission!
Ah, yes, so you saw my poem then, too?

Mo-vember????
Australians refer to a moustache as a "Mo" pronounced "Mow".
During the month of November it is traditional to grow a moustache and to be sponsored. Proceeds go to Prostate cancer research and other men's health issues.
The Month is always refered to as Mo-vember and not November. At the end of the month there is a prize for the biggest and best and also for the ugliest or worst.
You probably know all this.....

PS no sign of Caz as yet but keeping my eyes peeled.
I did not enter the contest being a bit preoccupied with things.
Hi Helen,
Just wanted to send you some big ((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))) hope that your OK and Caz is enjoying her tour the place she is staying at sounds so lovely.
My dads friends done the Mo-vember thing Charles, it was all his friends from his local they did look really funny, they all did it for the link chemo unit in Cheltenham, my dad thought it was great and they managed to raise just over £1,000 they all had there photo's taken and it was put into there local paper, although dad didnt want his photo or name put in it as he didnt want people to feel sorry for him, but it is a very good idea to raise money and I will never forget all the wonderfull peolpe that wanted to do that for my dear dad.
My love and (((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))

Hi, all.......
Charles, Caz loves Sydney and is looking forward to returning for the 17th, she keeps sending us wonderful photos, mostly of the Harbour and Opera House of course! I just feel jealous as its so dark, misty and chilly here at the moment! I didn't know about the 'Mo' thing, haha, a good way to keep one's upper lip stiff, eh? (or maybe warm?)
Quill, hope you are all totally better now?
Just got back from an extra choir rehearsal, and had some chutney prepared, now cooking it, it should be just right for Christmas, one or two jars as presents I think......( bit pong-y at present!)
My love and hugs to all

Uh oh ... Looks like I'm going to have to change my nickname!!! It is Mo .. but even tho I'm post-menopausal, I haven't any hair on my upper lip. From now on, it'll have to be Mau. LOL!!!
Good to hear about Caz. Hope she's having a great time.
Love, Mau
Mau/Mo, now you'll worry me, I won't know who you are, lol!
love and hugs
