Wow, good fishing, eh?
Well, today its another beautifully sunny calm day, hubs and i worked our socks off yesterday, 3 more big shrubs (had dug one up yesterday) were dug up, one potted up so that if it actually survives, Caz will have, then all the soil dug down, the solid lumps of clay removed, the fence painted over with preservative, Then the soil improved with more compost (home produced stuff!) and sieved all the soil dug out so that there's a fine tilth back there, mixed with more compost and 'growmore' too.......the idea being that next year we grow more produce instead of just having shrubs. Hmmm, also it was netted so the neighbourhood cats (too many of them!) won't get an extra toilet! Today I ache!
Caz will be pleased if the shrub we potted for her 'takes', her garden too is going through a bit of a make over, part of her lawn will go as it is dying off anyway, and she has plans to use slate chippings there to provide an area to have pots of plants that enjoy shade.
My love and hugs to you all, hope today is a good one

This person has already targeted our dear Dianne, (hope you don't mind me mentioning your name love) how many more people has this person targeted. Macmillan are already aware of the situation and hopefully we are rid/or will be rid of them soon.

Thanks, Mary, for that warning post.......the site is so much more difficult to manage that I am feeling I will probably only end up posting on the threads I know, and only replying to those I know, too, is Juls on line then, after all that delay?

Dot, hello!
Yes, we are taking it a lot easier today, needfully I think, will all start up again tomorrow, Sunday here is indeed more of a day of rest!
Caz has been spotted (by me) on Twitter, and saying she is taking naps in the recording of whatever Bournemouth Symphony are doing, she decided not to take the offered job with them, she can earn more in a week freelancing than in a month with them! She will be having a few days off I hope, but is now on the full time teaching staff of Trinity College of Music, so needs to be down in Greenwich once a week teaching, not what she loves best but is well paid, nevertheless, and she can manage to get deps, or deputy staff if she needs to be elsewhere, like in November when she tours Oz with Seal.
love and hugs to all

Dot, she won't be away for long, and will get back in time to fix her next treatment as the cancer is now also in her spleen, not sure if you knew that or not, she will be having an antibody therapy to find the cancer cells and then the radiation the drug carries will get delivered to them! she'll have to be in isolation then for everybody else's sake as will be radioactive for a week or so.
We haven't enough garden to do 'The Good Life' stuff, just hope to grow runner beans and a few more bits as well as all the fruit bushes we got bit by bit this last year or so.
love and hugs to all

Moomy,
Dont dump the clay soill ,clay soil is the best for growoinh in tyou just need to treat it with lots of sharp sand and epsom salts,I am havibg to have four tons of treated top soild delivered tommorrow morning at a cost of £110 for four tons. so its expensive stuff,
I need it for my new orchard i am bikdibgh ( not bikdibghh ) I wonder what that is?.I meaan biulding, i think.
When you get the turf down for your new lawn water it regulary with stale beer from the pub the stuff they throw away the vegetable content of beer <hops, etc is very good to green your grassup Epsom salts are very good for fading plants and flowers mix with water and water it on roses lettuce radish everything ,
I got to take my boat out todsay just over high tide and snikkled a couple of lobsters so they are now cooked looking very red and tomorrow I will have them with a salad. I will offer you a bit like my little grandaughter used to offer food to her teddy so if you get a strange taste of lobster about five oclock tommorrow its telepathy tasting.
A freindly neighbour has complained to the community cop that Ben Gunn my Amazon green parrot uses too much bad language at the kids looking over my wall at the fish ponds. I ask you miserable begger whoever he/ she is.
He doesnt realy use bad bad langauge he says things like "bugger off" and ,makes farting noises and mobile phones ringing, he says a lot of stuff cos he mutters to himself I expect he copies me and he shouts "Pirate stuff" like YO HO and Pieces of eight and Hey Ugly which I have taught him over the years cos its a laugh to see him strutting his stuff.. he is a lovely fellow quite big now but very gentle and he dont bite he just nibbles me ear lobes a bit and then makes lip smacking noises. He also says Im lovely and his mate. and he has learned to make his messes in his cage and not on me. sometimes he sits on my shoulder ,I have him in jessles but he wont fly very far from me if I let him go. The little kids going past my bungalow love me to sit outside with him while they are on their way to school. Anyway I dont know what this daft woman nazi wants me to do about his conversational skills I expect she is a b it jealous cos he can say poetry and she maybe cannot.
He's having a sleep just now trying not to fall off his perch in the corner he should go in his cage to sleep realy I'v had him 26years now from when I bought him in Rio de jan. great pal.
My dog is with my brother who lives in the isle of man. Brian I dont see him hardly.
