yeh Im getting overexited with events today . the bunch of apples jemmyed into my neck have shrunk down today to a bunch of little peanuts and i managed to eat a ,,meat and patatoe pie

My freind came over and i did two, one each with pastry inside the dish and on top, julienned carrots sticks just endente,  peas from my garden and rough maris peer mashj also from the garden plenty of gravy from the deglazed meat pan with onion slices init for colouir , I never chocked once so that was great a real good meal the first for two days, chopped veggi soup for a staryer just thickened with mash starch.

we washed it down with some home brew bitter as she came over on the country bus and went home the same transprot it dont cost her anything as she is seventy and like me has a full free pass.

  • Wow, sounds chef-like, can you cook for others too? lol! Am having a kitchen re-fit early next month, argh, coming up fast and I have to gut all the cupboards!

Hmmm, heard I can go off to bed when I like, daughter is coming back but will get a taxi from the station!

    love and hugs to all

moomy you seem a great aldy i would cook for you anytime, your favourite meal with candles and the best glasses and china on the service, what do we start with and do yoiu like to be involved in the cooking or just chillout with a cool wine and wait for it all to happen.

we could start with a nice garlic and chive mushroom dish with garlic bread pieces and a big dish of garlic butter run that with a nice nice shiraz .then how about lobsters without all the usual thermodor rubbish over it just two large lobsters each on the plate with a crackerjack vice to open the shell without smashing it all up Just juicy lobsters steamed/boiled for no more than 10 minutes with new jersey royals and garden peas maybe a tender roasted parsnip or two. we would need a nice clean wine for that served in the cooler , and to follow a dish of scalded mussells and razor fish with a scattering of scallops and dressed with a nice clean sauce made from the juices in the pans.

Then bread and butter puddins in little dishes cooked imdividualy with soaked raisins and currants soaked overnight with the dishes full of the lightly toasted bread pieces  in  milk with a touch a cream and overdressed with cinnamon for that it has to be Baileys in an iced glass and latte coffee to finish.

your going to say you dont like lobsters !

well we could then sit on the decking overlooking the south bay north to the cstle and watch the changing coulours and shadows as the sun goes behind the hill at the back of the bungalow and watch the towns lights come on in responce to the fading light then i give you a litle hug and send for the taxi to take you home again Ill get a taxi driver known to me so i know you will be safe and get you to ring my phone when you get home. Does that sound about ok?moomy

  • hahaha, Skipper, what an amazing meal you concocted in your mind!

    Sounded inspired by the sea.......

Morning, all, hope today is as lovely for you all as it is here, we have a beautiful sunny day.

Caz got here late, we had gone to bed, she crept in, neither of us heard her, so expect as her email suggested, it was late! Bless her, no sound at present.....I will ensure she has all 3 meals today, possibly at least one still in bed, lol! It's my chance to see that her weight doesn't still go down as she sleeps so often when not working, forgetting to eat.....

love and hugs to you all
