I'm just trying to get used to this new maccy site... Re: private messages - I have received a private message from someone - but it arrived in my regular email acc't, and not on this new maccy site.... at least I haven't been able to find it on maccy. If anyone knows where to find it, pls let me know. BTW - I just sent this to Mary as a "quick reply" but it was not added to the thread - so this is an experiment to see if This reply is added.... Where did the "quick reply" go? (I've still got lots to learn, eh?)
Oooops - Thanks, Sue - there was a delay... No - it's not on the top RHS of my page or anywhere. I wouldn't have known that there was a private message except that it arrived in my regular email acc't. I guess the "quick reply" does get posted. That's good! I have found that there is no icon which appears when you get a new message - I just have to keep an eye on the number of pms and see if it alters. That's a real pain!
Hmmm, I wondered if I was the only one, but it seems I'm not! I also wondered if it was because I'm on an AppleMac, but no, it seems there are a number with similar troubles!
I have emailed about the lost profile and the p/ms too, I had a reply from James, but what he says actually doesn't quite stack up with how my page looks, so will email him back now I'm home again from visits.
Helen, welcome back, hope you had a restful holiday, (you might need it given the vagaries of this new site!).... I have emailed James on Mac Admin as I cant find my sent messages. I have sent a p/m to Dot this afternoon but then read subsequent posts from people in that their p/ms hadnt gone anywhere!!
Hi, Leah, I suspect they still haven't sorted the p/ms yet! I think they really have done sterling work, though, combining two really busy but very different sites must have given them all big headaches!
Ah well, all we can do is keep emailing them, thank goodness they email us with any p/ms or thread posts coming in new! Otherwise I'd have been stuck! But my profile has now turned up!
