All of us on here get both good and bad news, i wanted to start a thread for all types of news, for everyone to post their news.....
  • Caz is enjoying being able to work while living at her home, says it makes such a change after recent tours! She is still doing well and feeling good, we (her Dad and I ) still feel uncertain about when that ticking bomb will start up again, though. It is really a wondering, watching 'game', which is at times tough to be in.

  • Went to a Lymphoma support group yesterday, it is good to know that there is a facility like that, a friendly small circle of people too. This one is run by a lady who had Hodgkin's 20 years ago, had a primitive type of chemo and was cured!

    Hi Helen,

I really hope that this support group helped you dear lady, its rather sounds like it did.
I'll pray that your dear Caz has the same outcome as the lady you spoke to.

  • Thanks, Mary, it's good to know that we aren't alone, i think that is one benefit from going. The cured lady had a type of mustard gas, which was what the early chemo drugs were derived form, she said!

I too hope Caz might do well, of course I do, but at present of course, she is having no treatment, just watch and wait.....

Just thought I would send you these, hope they help just a littleXXXXXXXX
  • Mary, thank you, yes, I felt it! But didn't see your post till much later, in fact, this morning! ( rehearsal dragged me out again, but your hug encouraged me to go, funnily enough, it must have had quite an effect!) Now those rehearsals step up in gear, from once a week to twice a week, for three weeks, then the show starts! We are on for 5 nights......anyone in the Milton Keynes area, come and laugh at us, and enjoy the music!

    Hi Helen,

Its soooooooooooooooooooo good to get positive news on this site, please pass on to Lisa my very best wishes for her future.

Glad the hug gave you some encouragment. I wish we all lived nearer then we could have come to your wonderful concert, we could have all gone out afterwards for a few glasses of wine, not for Wendy mind, although Jean did let it slip last night that she drank Malibu hehehehe. She'll never live this down hahaha.

Have a good weekend, dear lady.

    Love and hugs.

  • This lunchtime was the funeral of the Mum of Caz's schoolfriend, it was moving and a good send-off, Kathy had truly bucked the trend, after her spinal op, for secondary breast cancer, she had gone on to climb Snowdon! But in the end, it had claimed her......her daughter had a hug from me on behalf of Caz who couldn't be there.....

I thought id share my good news with you on this site We had a visit to London last week regarding my bi-lateral kidney cancer. . After my initial shrinkage when I first went on the superdrug Sutent, I have had further shrinkage of 3.1 to 1.1 cm in my right kidney and 2.4 to 2 cm in my left kidney. We and they are delighted with that and they have know offered me the chance of surgery which I have accepted. I will go back into hospital early April to have a partial nephrectomy of the left kidney as that is the worst affected kidney. The tumour in the right kidney has began to turn to a gooey mush ( the surgeons words) and began to die off. They plan to biopsy the left removed kidney and then take a view on the right kidney. Depending on what they find they might try Radio Frequency Ablation, which basically blasts the tumour though probes and kills it off. Another option is another partial nephrectomy or a wait and see period whist continuing on the Sutent. Either way it is great news and news I wanted to share with my friends on "share"
