All of us on here get both good and bad news, i wanted to start a thread for all types of news, for everyone to post their news.....
  • You all are very special to me, I do hope that 2009 will be kinder to all

Last night was VERY funny, 'Spamalot' was so good, we both had so much fun! We had already been to the fair in Hyde Park and I watched Caz enjoy the big slide and she had hysterics watching me on the carousel (always my favourite ride), we ate hot dogs and after the show we spent the time in the cold watching the fireworks from Lambeth Bridge in the crowds, wishing all a much better 2009, then spent ages trying to drive out of London! You would all have had such a laugh as you watched us going round in circles, the police had managed to close most of our chosen routes! We eventually found a way out and reached home about 3.40 am! mmmmmmm, a late 'get-up' was had by all today, but Caz caught the train home at 3.54 this afternoon.

    Dear Helen,

It sounds like you all have a wonderful time, wish I had been there even if you did have problems getting home, bet you are all feeling quite tired today.

Happy New Year Helen, my wishes are exactly the same as yours, a cure for all those out there that are suffering so much.

Love and hugs to you all.

    Dear Helen,

Thinking of you, and hope that you and your family are all well, and haven't got this awful flu virus that is raging in this country.

We are all ok, been full of cold, but not ill, thank goodness.

Love and hugs to you all.

  • Hi, Mary, was just thinking of you, and suddenly my thread pops up with your note! We are fine, thank you, no-one with the flu, touch wood, we had the jab anyway, hubs, Caz and myself, as he has diabetes, I have asthma and of course Caz has a very good reason for the jab, but it was hard for her to find anyone with a spare jab as she was already on tour when they came, she eventually rang NHS direct and they found her somewhere, while she was in London. Even though she had to pay, we think it was worth it. In fact, the only one who didn't get said flu jab was our son. We so far have managed not to sniffle either, again, touch wood....

Had another late night last night, we were entertaining friends, and no doubt tonight will be late too as we are off to a housewarming do.....one must obey all social niceties, eh?

Mary, all joking aside, I do hope you and John are getting through all your horrid recent experiences....my love and big hugs, dear friend

    Dear Helen,

I am so glad that you all have the flu jab, especially Caz, so pleased that they managed to track one down for her, it will put your mind at rest when she is away from you.

We are getting on with things as best we can, it would be so wonderful to have a magic wand, and put everything right, but that is not life is it. I'll be glad to get back to work next week, it helps to take my mind off things, my heart goes out to John, as he loved his mum so very much, even though she was 85 when she passed away, its still your mum, called it nieve, but you think they will be around forever. Thank you for asking about us Helen you are a very dear lady.

Have a wonderful time tonight at the housewarming, have a glass of wine on me.

Love and hugs to you all.

  • Mary, I so understand about John's Mum, somehow one feels that as parents have always been there, they always will, again I know its a naive view but still there deep in our minds! My love to you both.....

We had a good time at the housewarming, heard the piano again too, (its son's newest toy!) our two played duets on Christmas day for us.....

Hope your colds are on the way out, Mary, you'll need to be fit for this next term, its always the hardest, being always so cold.....and the kids are difficult as they seem to need to often be kept indoors so much!

  • Have had an email from Caz, she sent some work from Rolf, 'can you see what it is yet' Harris! it looks good so far.....

She was, like the big kid she is, very excited about the snow, always lets me know as we here don't get so much, with laughter in her voice or text or email, that its snowing where she is! I expect we will hear that she has more where she is as soon as she sees any! Whatever happens to her, she still manages to keep some of her humour!

  • Shell, honey, I saw that on Juls' thread and just posted to you there, what a sad story, am not surprised it brought all your experience rushing back. Shell, are you about to get that new pressure sleeve? Cos it sounds like you really do need it right now!

Caz is on her way down, she has orchestral work in central London the next couple of days, we are busy heating the house up even more, she is a real chilly mortal, always has been!
