All of us on here get both good and bad news, i wanted to start a thread for all types of news, for everyone to post their news.....
  • Oh, Shelliey, what with having Jordan really poorly, and having to take Ryan too, you are faced with a long night AND a hefty taxi bill! Its enough to make a saint swear!!!!!

hope you all feel very much better after a good rest today and an early night too.....love and hugs

  • Donna, my sweet Sissy, have also flown by your thread to say welcome back! Caz will be here after the rush hour has subsided, it is pointless for her to set out before about 8, so she should get here sometime after 10 tonight. She's playing at Ronnie Scotts, the famous jazz club in London this weekend, we think. Look after yourself, Sis....me xoxoxoxoxox

Shell love, I'm so sorry that your little boy was so ill last night, hope he is now feeling a little better, bless him. Give the antibiotics a couple of days to kick in, he'll be back to his self in no time, so try not to worry too much, although I know its not easy, we worry about our kids all the time, even when they are grown up, it don't get any easier.

Hope you managed to get a little rest.

Love and hugs to you all.

Helen, Mary and Donna. hes still no better theres no signs of his temp coming down even with the paracetamol its bordering between 39.6 and 41.7c. hes also had to be nebulised bless him. so far its cost me £37.50 in taxis to and from hospital and docs today.
while we were at the docs my gp rang me, and has given me a script for oramorph so im hoping that i can be a bit more pain free now, fingers crossed, although my biggest worry at the moment is jordan, it is really scary wiv his temp going so high.
love and hugs to you all xoxoxox

Shell love I'm so sorry that Jordon is still so poorly, have you tried sponging him down with tepid water, see if that brings it down, also give him little sips of water or juice, I used to find fluids helped when Rachael was poorly.
My heart goes out to you, lets hope he feels a little better soon.

I do know there is an awful lot of virus's going around at the moment, so its probabley one of these, but keep an eye on him tonight.

And I pray that you are pain free as soon as possible.

Let us know how he goes.

Love and hugs to you both.

  • Shell, don't wait too long before asking for help again, kids go down fast but do also come back up very fast too, it might just be that he hasn't got the right antibiotic yet, or it might just be a viral infection on top of a bacterial one. Hope you have both had some rest, I know its hard to do so, our lad used to go down with everything, so I do know how it feels. Keep up the sponging too....

Keep receipts from your taxi fares, as if you have applied for DLA and also any other help, it might mean you could get that money refunded, I only suggest that, it might not work, but is worth a try. Oh, my dear, it is tough bringing up kids, isn't it?

love and big hugs, Shell, get what rest you can and take care of you, too......

Shell, that's an incredibly high temp. If you've tried brufen and paracetamol (about half hour apart) and there's no sign of it coming down, get doc immediately. I read he had chest infection and this probably is the problem, but 42.4 is way, way too high. Phone NHS 24 and ask their advice sweetheart. I know the money's a huge problem if admitted, but there is apparently a fund for exceptional circumstances, for which i'm sure you would qualify.
