A friend's new diagnosis

I found out on Wednesday that my ex, and still friend, has advanced lung cancer. Someone found him at home having had a fall and he was admitted to hospital. I drove straight there to see him - he's a 2.5 hour drive away.

We (his brother and me) spoke with the doctor on Friday and it's terminal. He is too weak and frail for chemo. They have given him weeks/months.

I feel completely lost. I feel like a zombie. I've had to come home but hope to go back in a couple of weeks (clients and money are considerations). He seems to have taken it in his stride, although I'm not sure what else you can do in that situation.

He has lung cancer and a brain lesion.

I'm not really sure of the point of this post, just some help navigating it all I guess.
