Can I ask your advice?
My poor mum died two and a half years ago. After six months I was told that that the dwp were doing an audit of her benefits (according to my solicitor this is quite common now). As she only got 2 plus attendance allowance it can't be that hard
After all this time i still haven't had an outcome. My solicitor has advised that they have completed their investigations but there is no one to work on it further
Is it common for things to take so long these days?
I feel it can't start to move on until this is sorted out and as a result my own health has deteriorated quite severely due to the constant stress of it all

What an awful experience for you to be going through-no wonder you are stressed out. I don’t have any experience of this, so can’t say if this is a typical wait for answers, but I wonder if it might help you to call our support line -the number is in my signature -to get some advice on what you could do next to get this resolved.
I can’t imagine how difficult this must be for you on top of your mum’s passing, so I hope you can get some helpful advice about what you can do next. It does seem very unreasonable to be waiting this long.
