My partner and I are going on holiday together on the 26th of this month. We are going for my nephews Wedding reception which he hasnt being invited to in the afternoon but is invited to the evening. The same with my sisters partner. My partner has stage 4 lung cancer which is now stable. My sister expects my partner to be with her partner who has dementia. Despite me reminding her many times he is isnt well enough to do that. This has caused a lot of anxiety for us both. Should I cancel the holiday or just hope for the best?
Hi Marypoppin and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community and, although I've not had the problem you find yourself with, I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list again.
I think, if I was in your position, I'd do whatever you feel is best for your husband.
I hope it all turns out okay.
