Hi, I have been diagnosed with terminal metastatic breast cancer. My husband has to take days off work to help look after me. There are also many days I am off work too! And we are struggling to pay out finances. We are looking to start a MAP for our debt. My husband has got an on going health issue just now, and is away to attend ARI for a MRI Scan in his prostate

Could I recommend that you call the Macmillan Support Line that is open between 8am-8pm (timings may differ across services) 7 days a week on 0808 808 00 00…… this service provides cancer information, practical information, emotional support, benefits and financial guidance or just a listening ear.
The Community is actually divided into dedicated Support Groups (Discussion Rooms) so can I recommend that you look to join and put up your own post in our dedicated…….

…… as you will see I am onto my 4th cancer with my 1st one being incurable……. Back in 1999 I was 43 and diagnosed with my 1st cancer that the then median survival was set at 3-5 years…… our daughters were 14 and 18 at the time…
But as a family we sat and agreed that regardless what came along we would not let my cancer or any other issues define us as a family….. we would define how we lived.……. we went on to see our daughters graduate, get married, set up very successful businesses and provide us with 4 beautiful granddaughters….. I turned 70 back in Nov last year and I am coming up to 11 years since my last treatment.
In our book there is always hope until hope runs out ((hugs))
