I got a colonoscopy in October/November 2019 I was ask to come in to see the consultant late November 2019 I was told I had bowel cancer.
I had an operation on 30/12/2019 I had my large bowel removed or a total colectomy. I was got Just on time. I get colonoscopys because I have the gene and I have the lynch syndrome.
My dad died from bowel cancer and my older brother also had bowel cancer

I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community, and I'm really sorry to read that both your dad and older brother had the same type of cancer that you were treated for.
The online community is divided into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join the bowel cancer group as you'll then connect directly with others who have the same type of cancer as you.
