Hello everyone

I was diagnosed with CLL start of last year and have been on "watch and wait".  I had follow up this week and looks like may start treatment end of year. The Consultant has been great and explained things and listed which drugs may use.  I know these have side effects and wondered if some of you could let me know your experience with them.  I am a practical person and usually cope once I know situation but think talking would help me.  Drugs they mention are BTKI/Venetollax/Obinutuzumal/Rituximab.

I know we all react differently, just feeling a somewhat alone.

Many thanks

  • Hello Heather (

A warm welcome to the Online Community although I am so sorry to find you joining us.

The Community is divided into cancer specific groups and I would advise you to join this group where you will "meet" others in the same or similar situations:

     CLL, SLL, HCL forum

Once you click on the link I have provided and the page opens up, click on "join" on the black banner at the bottom of the page. Once you have joined the group you can introduce yourself in the "New Here - Say Hello" section of the group. You can either copy and paste or repost your post above.

You can find details of the treatments and drugs used here:

    Treatments and Drugs.

If you need any help in navigating the Community, please do get back to me.

I wish you well with any up and coming treatment.

    Best wishes - Brian.
