I have had enlarged painless groin lymph nodes for 10 months since October 2025. I have been suffering with severe drenching sweats, itching, bloating, fatigue, breathlessness and weight loss. I also was suffering with abnormal vaginal bleeding so they gave me an ablation to stop it in March this year and although it stopped the bleeding the lymph nodes didn’t subside. I was having 6 weekly ultrasounds since November 2025. At the last scan in May, the lymph nodes had tripled in size and mass. I was then referred to a haematologist via the 2 week cancer pathway. I have had bloods which came back as satisfactory, a PET CT scan and a biopsy. I had a consultation yesterday where my consultant told me we are still awaiting the full biopsy results for the full picture. All she told me was the lymph nodes had tested as reactive to the first stage of testing. I will have another appointment in 3 weeks.
Alongside this, 8 weeks ago I developed a large lump in my throat next to my trachea. They think this may be thyroid related. I don’t think it’s in any relation to the groin nodes as I’ve had these for months.
I am so confused and in a constant state of panic. I know I am unwell in myself. Has anyone experienced similar and what was your outcome?

I am Mike and help out around our various blood cancer groups…… I have lived with and been treated for 2 types of rare T-Cell Non Hodgkin’s Lymphomas for over 26 years first diagnosed in 1999 at 43……. so in part, I understand the journey you are on.
Some blood cancers can be complicated so Haematologists work to facts….. the extra testing is rather normal as many hospitals don’t have the specialists testing facilities. My last biopsy in 2013 the tests took just over 6 weeks to get the results as the samples had to be sent to a specialist.
Unfortunately you are going to have to be a patient patient….. let’s look first answers soon.
