I think I may have a Brain Tumour

I have been having ongoing MRIs since I was 17. I am now 26. I have been having ongoing seizures since I was 18 that have gradually gotten worse. First they were fainting episodes, then drop attacks, then tonic clonic seizures, then status epilepticus. I get confused and disoriented in social situations, I have days where I barely eat or over eat and vomit. I have had days when I can't wake up from my sleep and can't get out of bed. I get extremely exhausted during the day and struggle to take care of myself. The MRIs have come back normal, but a CT scan from my last seizure showed a superficial bleed on my brain. My last EEG was this year and it came back normal too so they diagnosed me with Functional Neurological disorder. On top of this, I am on Sumatriptan as I am having headaches around that come up suddenly at the front of my forehead, around my eyes, at the back of my head and in the middle of my forehead. Does this sound like a brain tumour?

  • Hi

I can see that you posted a very similar message three years ago so I'm sorry to read that you're no further forward in discovering what is causing your symptoms.

The online community is divided into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join the brain cancer group as you'll then connect directly with others who can share their experiences of getting a diagnosis with you.

To join, just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

I hope you get answers soon.
