Hi All,
Does anyone find it tricky/ difficult to share how they feel about the diagnosis of their partner.
I would like too at times but find the whole process quite daunting.
Sometimes yes, he is very understanding but I don’t think he gets the enormity of being diagnosed with Cancer. That’s why forums like this is great to share how we are feeling. I am also looking at local support groups I might be able to access. I have taken 6 months off work for the chemo treatment so I need to make sure I still see other people
Hello Cs345d56dee
I understand how you feel and with Prostate cancer there are many side effects of the treatment which will affect you both, directly and indirectly. Many men feel almost "inadequate" once the side effects have kicked in and as a partner you can be in a difficult place knowing what to say.
Here's a couple of links to some information I hope will help;
Supporting-my-partner-with-cancer.
and
Relationships with your Partner.
I hope the above helps.
Best wishes - Brian.
